In fact, some of the best boating and water sports in Canada can be found here, as Lake Country is located on the Trent-Severn Waterway.

Lake Country encompasses five distinctive districts: Orillia, Oro-Medonte, Rama, Ramara, and Severn. Each offers a unique experience with an abundance of activities, attractions, cultural experiences, events and recreational adventure, every day of the year. Mnjikaning Fish Weirs – National Historic Site

The fish fence at the Atherley Narrows, is located near Rama First Nation. It is a complex system of underwater fences which was used for harvesting fish.
